Psychiatry is the last frontier of medicine still relying on subjective observation—and I'm changing that. I've watched mental health systems fail patients on both sides of the Atlantic: the NHS revolving door, US community centres where diagnosis is done by overwhelmed non-physicians under impossible payor constraints. We're still using the DSM—symptom checklists rather than pathophysiology—and arbitrary formularies based on cost. My research showed we can do better with objective, scalable measures: speech patterns, activity data, tools that work in the real world. At Psyrin, I'm building precision psychiatry.
